Coto De Caza is a census designed and guard gated private community.  The population was 15,041 at the 2011 census.  It is 7.974 square miles.  The median household income is $169, 176 while the rest of the surrounding county is average is $75,566.

This guard gated community median home price is $1,050,000. They range from $555,000 to 19,500.  The homes are situated around golf courses, pools, tennis courts, parks and private horse stables.

Coto De Caza has many private and public schools just outside its gates.  Santa Margarita Preparatory High School is a private high school and is just steps away from the east gate.  The public elementary, middle schools and high schools belong in the Capistrano School District.  This district rates high in academic achievements.

Dana Point

Ladera Ranch

Ladera Ranch is a planned community divided into 9 villages with 10 or more neighborhoods per village. Oak Knoll Village, Bridgepark, Flintridge Village, Township, Wycliffe Village, Echo Ridge Village, Avendale Village, Terramore Village, Covenant Hills.  Covenant Hills is a gated community closed to the public.  There are no other gated communities.  The community has a private water park and skate park. Also included in portions of the city are pools, parks, greenbelts and a shopping district called Mercantile East and Mercantile West shopping centers and miles of hiking/biking that lead to Doheny Beach. 


Laguna Beach
